Police Department
Welcome to the Campbell County Police Department
The Campbell County Police Department (CCPD) is an accredited, full-service law enforcement agency with primary jurisdiction over the unincorporated areas of the county, the cities of Crestview and Silver Grove, the Licking River, and the Kentucky side of the Ohio River. This jurisdiction encompasses the largest population and a significant majority of Campbell County’s total land area.
The CCPD is the second largest law enforcement agency in Campbell County, with an authorized full-time staff of 41 police officers, of which seven are school resource officers. Additionally, the department employs one police records specialist and four police social workers. Our police social workers serve the unincorporated areas as well as the cities of Bellevue and Dayton.
The department maintains specialized investigative units focused on general investigations, narcotics, sex crimes, and electronic crimes. It also maintains specialized teams such as the Honor Guard, Crisis Assistance Response Effort (C.A.R.E.) Team, Drone Program, and Bike Patrol Unit.
Beyond these internal functions, the CCPD actively participates in multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional units/teams such as the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force, Northern Kentucky Special Weapons and Tactics (NKY SWAT), Accident Reconstruction and Crime Scene Processing through the Special Investigation Response Team (SIRT), and the Campbell County Fire Investigation Team (FIT). Additionally, CCPD personnel serve on various boards and committees that provide essential services to Campbell County residents.
