Campbell County offers a variety of FREE events throughout the year to help residents properly dispose of household waste in an environmentally responsible manner.
Campbell County residents can recycle the following items year-round at the Campbell County Road Department:
- Refrigerators*
- Freezers*
- Air Conditioners*
- Dehumidifiers*
- Ovens
- Dishwashers
- Hot Water Heaters
- Washing/Drying Machines
- Lawnmowers (drain fluids)
- Grills
- Metal Items
- Lead Acid Batteries
*Place all refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners in the correct section. A company comes to remove the Freon from these items so it is helpful if they are all together.

Participants are required to unload their own vehicle. Televisions are NOT accepted.
Campbell County Cleanup Event
The Campbell County Cleanup Events (Spring and Fall) are free dump days for all Campbell County residents.
NKY Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
Properly dispose of household hazardous waste at this annual event.
Holiday Tree Recycling Program
Drop off your live, undecorated tree in the designated area at Pendery Park for recycling!
Holiday Lights Recycling Program
Drop off unwanted lights at several locations December 1st - February 1st.
River Sweep
Join volunteers to clean up Campbell County’s 26 miles of riverside through the Annual River Sweep Event.
